CANTERBURY CHRIST CHURCH UNIVERSITY TOURING KIT

After a fresh and bold rebrand by Bond & Coyne, Canterbury Christ Church University found themselves in need of a new set of assets for their annual circuit of UCAS shows, aiming to attract a fresh cohort of prospective students.

With various stand configurations in mind, modularity became a central theme in the brief. Given the nature of UCAS events, the stand needed to be assembled and disassembled in under 1.5 hours by logistics partner, The Rad Brothers. This marked a new endeavour for us, as we designed and built assets to seamlessly hand over to another business for execution.

Sustainability was a key focus throughout the project. Valchromat emerged as the primary substrate with the core blue colour perfectly aligning with the brands Identity, finished with Rubio Monocoat—a single-coat finish derived entirely from natural resources.

Prioritising repairability was essential, considering the kit's frequent visits to over 13 shows annually. Further details on the sustainability aspects of this project can be found here.

Bespoke furniture seamlessly complemented the highly versatile T3 system—a framework offering endless opportunities for redesign and configuration in the future. Despite our conscientious approach, Morally Made recognised an estimated 3.6 tonnes of CO2e emissions and the expected use of timber equivalent to 3 trees in the production of these assets. Notable values directly result from the aluminum in the T3 System, digital displays, and tension fabrics.

CARBON IMPACT

We tracked our direct vehicle mileage & weights, energy usage and used global standards to estimated the carbon impact of all the materials and additional products we used in order to estimate our direct carbon emissions in connection to delivering this project. We estimated total of 3.6 Tonnes of C02e, however accounted for 3.7 when a safety factor is included.
